the Forest Motel and Woodland Retreat
Continental Breakfast
All reservations come with a free continental breakfast. Our breakfast includes fresh-baked muffins daily, cereals, fruits, yogurt, breads and bagels and of course fresh hot coffee.
Canoes and Kayaks
All guests have free access to our canoes and kayaks at any time. We provide lifejackets (mandatory) and paddles, as well as boat safety kits.
Bicycles
We provide free bicycle use to all guests staying at the Forest Motel and Woodland Retreat: from cruisers to tandem bikes in an assortment of sizes from children to adult! Helmets of all sizes are also available.
Walking Trails
The 32 acre property at the Forest Motel boasts over 2 km of walking trails. We are also part of the Avon Trail which travels over 100km through the Ontario countryside.
Campfires
During the warmer months, every night (weather permitting) you will find a roaring campfire crackling at the Forest Motel and Woodland Retreat. With plenty of seating, and marshmallow roasting sticks provided, we encourage all guests to enjoy this Canadian tradition. Bug spray is also provided at the front desk.
