Walking/Snowshoe Tours at the Forest Motel
Explore our property and learn about our history and nature here at the Forest Motel with a 1 or 2 hour guided walking or showshoe tour!

Ice rink rentals
We are renting out our private ice rink on McCarthy Lake! Only one household at a time may use it. Priced at $50/hour plus tax.

We've made some changes due to COVID-19
The safety of our guests and staff is of utmost importance to us here at the Forest Motel.
Here are some things we are doing differently during the COVID-19 pandemic:

From January 14 until February 11, 2021, we are no longer permitted to accept reservations for short-term rentals.

Rooms for quarantining are available at the rate of $375/week + tax. Contact us for further details on our house rules regarding self-quarantining.

For long-term stays

No face-to-face check-ins or check-outs. All guests are asked to self-screen for COVID symptoms before arrival. When you arrive we will check your ID through the office window and pass through to you a check-in package with all the necessary information for you to find your room and have a quiet, enjoyable stay. To check-out just drop your key and registration card in the drop-box at the front office.

No continental breakfast.

No stay-over housekeeping service. If you are staying more than one night, for the safety of our staff we are not offering housekeeping service. However, if you need anything you can call down to the front office and we will have the items dropped outside your room soon after.

Sanitizer stations and enhanced cleaning protocols. We are taking extra precautions when cleaning guest rooms, as well as sanitizing any touched surfaces in public spaces and all outdoor amenities. Hand sanitizer stations are available in front of the office and breakfast room.

Guest rooms are left untouched for 24 hours after departure. We are placing all rooms on a 24-hour quarantine after check-out for the protection of our staff and to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
